SEYCHELLES! The islands scattered like pearls across the hearth of the Indian Ocean with beautiful sea corals in unbelievably beautiful turquoise waters, lush hills covered with tropical trees and surreal boulders on the beach is like a piece of paradise which you won’t want to exit forever. After 8 days of safari we were finally in Seychelles for a week of relaxing time. In fact we had planned Seychelles to have some rest after the tiring safari adventure but of course we couldn’t stay and have a rest but ceaselessly travel the island to see as much beaches as possible 🙂

Seycehelles has unbelievably beautiful and dreamy beaches and many coral recifs but as we were told the recifs were deteriorating because of the Global Warming. Sea corals don’t like warm water but rather cool water. Beacause of that, snorkelling in Seychelles wasn’t that beautiful as we expected but nevertheless it was fairly fantastic to see the corals.

From Praslin to Victoria in Mahe island. And glass bottom boat trip to the Corals

Seychelles being the most stunning holiday destination for us so far, it has a tiny problem. You will most probably pay the highest prices in your life 🙂 but every rose has its thorn. As the days pass you will fall in love with its beauty and nature which you can’t experience in anywhere else and the high prices you pay will diminish 🙂

Dreamy Beaches

The surreal rocks of Seychelles are fantastic just like every thing it has.

Kenya was one of the most favorite destination for us so far despite all the dangers and risks it had. After our safari tour we had in Kenya we were waiting for the Ethiopia Airlines flight to Addis Ababa transferring to Mahe Island of Seychelles. We were at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 3 .00 pm or so and our flight was at 4.00 am in the morning. In fact we had planned to be at the airport at 1.00 am or so after having one more Game Drive in Amboseli but our driver told us that the tension in Nairobi and on the road is getting higher and that our wireless is broken down in the car and that we must get as early as possible to be safe on the road. So we got up early again the last day. Our driver showed us a newspaper that had news about the riots in Nairobi slums and the city center but i figured out that the date showed a few days earlier. It was a little suspicious for me but I didn’t want to think that he was lying. It wasn’t good for us at all to know that the road and the city wasn’t safe but we had to take the risk and go on to Nairobi whatever it is. It was an uneasy travel for us to go to Nairobi that day but the second thing took my attention was the answer the guy gave us asking him about the risk on the road when we gave a break on the road. He told that there was nothing to be scared and that everything is calm in Kenya. It was geting weirder for us but to the think that the driver was lying would be weird but something wasn’t right that was sure. Finally we got to the Jomo Kenyetta airport in Nairobi in the afternoon to wait nearly for a 12 hours and the first thing I did was asking a cop what was the situation in Kenya and the answer was again weird for us because they also told there was nothing. So our driver was lying to us about the safety thing most probably because he would turn back to Mombasa from Nairobi and if we followed the plan he would be there in the next day morning but as he made up the things he said he was at home before midnight. This was the worst experience we had in Kenya, nevertheless our adventure had finished with fantastic memories.

We were at Addis Ababa airport in the morning and we had still a long way ahead. Around 10.00 am we boarded the Ethiopia Airlines airplane for a 4 hours of flight to Mahe. Ethiopia Airlines is one of the Star Alliance members but between Nairobi and Addis Ababa the plane wasn’t good at all. It made us feel like we are flying on a bus rather than a plane, we didn’t feel secure at all. Finally we were at Mahe Airport but the travel wasn’t still over, we had to wait for a small airplane to fly from Mahe island to Praslin island. It was raining when we landed Mahe island and it was a bit disappointing to see a bad weather in a tropical island but that wouldn’t be the situation all the time. It didn’t rain again until the day we would leave the island. We were lucky. But because of the rain and the strong wind the plane to Praslin island was delayed for nearly 6 hours and when we got to our hotel room nearly for 40 hours we hadn’t sleep at all except a few minutes of sleeping on airport and airplane chairs.
