Haydar Cove, which is one of the indispensable destinations for those who spend their holidays in Didim and can be called the real Maldives of Turkey, is a real paradise with a rare beauty in Turkey. But unfortunately like many other places in Turkey the cove isn’t appreciated sufficiently. Unfortunately, the first thing that greeted us was the garbages where we left the car. And how such a paradise can be polluted is really difficult to understand for a human being. There were places where heaps of garbage were left, and the employees of the municipality, who came with tractors, obviously can’t keep up with the pollution of the environment, and the fact that there are cleaners does not give anyone the right to pollute the environment of course. If you come here, please try to be as attentive to the environment as possible because it really needs protection almost as much as Salda lake.
If you have a plan to come to the real Maldives of Turkey, the first thing we need to say is that the road is quite bad, which has not been repaired for years and in fact as of 2021, large rocks have been placed on the road at a remote point of the cove to prevent vehicle entry. Unfortunately, people may be forced to take such measures because of our uncontrolled people.

It will be better to prefer early morning hours to see the beauty of Haydar cove. Probably due to the angle of the sun, the Maldives effect is much more striking and realistic at that time. In some comments on our Haydar Cove vlog, there were criticisms that it was no different from any other cove, but we went to Seychelles and mostly encountered a different nature than the images in the photos. Frankly, seeing the beauty of Haydar Cove depends on how generous mother nature is to you, so it’s a bit of luck. But it is not that you can experience that beauty a few days a year, it is mostly possible to see on sunny days and in the morning hours.

Although it is thought to be in Didim, Haydar Cove is actually within the borders of Bozbük, a part of Muğla Milas, but probably because Didim and Akbük are more active and tourist-friendly places, it is thought as belonging to Didim. Boundaries don’t matter, of course, Haydar Cove is a corner of paradise that you must see wherever you are around that region. You can reach this piece of paradise by clicking on the map below.
The name of Haydar Cove , which is also introduced as Cennet Cove on boat tours that come here, comes from a retired teacher named Haydar, who has a large plot of land just behind the Cove and built a pier for boats coming to the Cove in the past. Not the owner of the Cove, of course, only the owner of the land behind the shore. Even though it sounds a bit strange for such a piece of paradise (Haydar is not a common name in Turkish), this place became known by this name because it was known with Haydar Bey.
Since Haydar Cove is in the middle of nature, far from many places, of course, there are no facilities or places where you can meet your need for shower, toilet, water, etc. That’s why it’s important to bring your daily drink, water, and food with you, but more importantly, you shouldn’t leave anything to Haydar Cove.
If you come to Didim or this region for a holiday, we strongly recommend you to come to Haydar Cove and enjoy this beauty. But please be so sensitive to the environment so that this beauty does not turn into a cove filled with garbage in the future.
